Inside: 80 m² with nothing wasted
The house is built on a single floor, facing the sea. The bedroom has a double bed; the living room, with a sofa bed, opens into the panoramic dining room, a floor-to-ceiling glazed gallery looking out over the Atlantic, the coastline and, on clear days, the outline of Gran Canaria. It is where every guest ends up having breakfast.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with everything you need to cook, an air fryer and a wine fridge for the local wines. The bathroom is modern, with a shower and hot water. There is 175 Mbps fibre Wi-Fi throughout the house and on the terrace, more than enough for remote work and video calls.
Bed linen and towels are included, and the house is handed over clean and ready to move into.
Outside: 1,200 m² of gardens to yourself
The house sits on a landscaped plot of around 1,200 m², with flowers, greenery and shady corners. The pergola is the heart of the estate: a handmade three-metre wooden table, the ceramic Kamado barbecue and a view to the horizon. This is where dinners run late, with the sea in the background and, once night falls, one of the clearest skies in Tenerife overhead.
Beside the pool there are sun loungers and a relaxation area. Parking is private and inside the estate, at the end of a 70-metre gravel track from the road, which is why we recommend a mid-size car.
Beyond the gardens the estate carries on: 8,000 m² of vines (Godello, Malbec and Cabernet), Hass avocados, orange and lemon trees, papayas and guavas, tomatoes in summer and aromatic herbs, all looked after by ourselves. Depending on the season you will see the pruning, the grape harvest or the avocado picking, and if the timing is right you'll take fruit home from the tree.
The heated pool, and how it works
It is what everyone remembers. A pool whose edge melts into the ocean, with sun from early morning. And it is heated all year round, something rare in a private house for two.
What makes it special is how it is heated. The estate runs on solar panels and a high-capacity lithium battery bank, so the warmth of the pool comes from the Tenerife sun, not from a boiler. In winter we set the water to 29 °C: the heater starts at ten in the morning and, on a good day, by two or three in the afternoon the water is perfect for the rest of the day. In summer the sun does the work during the day, and the heater comes on from five to eight in the evening, so that the swim after a day out, with the sun setting over the sea, is warm even once the air cools.
In practice: Tenerife is sunny most of the year, and with sun the pool is warm. On the few overcast winter days it takes a little longer, and we will tell you so honestly if you travel on those dates. What never changes is that the pool, like everything else, is yours alone.
An estate powered by the sun
The house is eco-sustainable in fact, not in brochure-speak: the electricity comes from solar panels and is stored in lithium batteries for the night; it powers the pool heating and everything in the house that uses electricity.
With water we are even more careful. Irrigation water comes from underground galleries, Tenerife's traditional water mines, and each month it is pumped into the pond beside the house. The estate has its own weather station and soil-moisture probes buried at several points; from their data we calculate the plants' evapotranspiration and water exactly what each crop needs for the time of year, not a drop more. Against fungi and insects we use only 100 % organic products such as Septum and Pirecris.
For you it means two things: you can use the house normally without thinking about consumption, and your stay leaves a small footprint on a place that deserves it.
The practical side
- Capacity: two people maximum. No pets, and no smoking inside the house.
- Arrival and departure: check-in from 4 pm with a key box and a code we send you beforehand; check-out by 11 am.
- Minimum stay: 5 nights. It is a house for switching off, not for a stopover.
- Direct booking: 25 % deposit when you book, a fixed price and no platform fees. Full refund if you cancel up to 14 days before arrival.
- Cleaning: we charge no cleaning fee; the price you see is the whole price. In return we only ask what we would ask of a friend lending us their home: to leave it, within reason, as you found it. We take care of the rest.
- Car: recommended. Tenerife South airport is 20 minutes away, the TF-1 motorway 5 and Porís beach 10.
